SAU Tech to Announce Major Donor to Rocket Baseball Program

East Camden, AR (10/10/2022) — Southern Arkansas University Tech invites you to a press conference on October 18, 2022, at 10:30 am on the campus in East Camden. The College will announce a significant gift to the new Rocket Baseball program. All press are invited to attend.

Dr. Morrison sought in-kind help and donations from the community and program supporters to fund the program through the SAU Tech Foundation's Diamond Campaign, and this latest gift leaves only $15,000 remaining to reach the original goal of $300,000.

The Rocket Baseball program is the latest addition to SAU Tech's line-up of NJCAA sports. SAU Tech's Chancellor, Dr. Jason Morrison, added baseball in the fall of 2022, and the program has close to 40 players under head baseball coach Tanner Rockwell. Rockwell has spent the last year building the program, and the team is participating in scrimmage games to prepare for the season.
